Description
I only have six characters, including one that I've made up myself solely for the reason that I hated the other characters that used his vehicle, but these are the characters in the Twisted Metal game that deeply resonated with me. Some of my ideas influenced these characters and their storylines, such as Axel and Outlaw. My take on the people of Twisted Metal.Driver: Needles Kane, Vehicle: Sweet Tooth- lethargic ice cream truck
Driver: Dollface, Vehicle: Darkside- sinister-looking, pitch-black semi
Driver: Mr. Grimm, Vehicle: Mr. Grimm- vietnam era combat motorcycle with ammunition sidecar
Driver: Axel, Vehicle: Axel- illegal black-lighted government project that escaped from a heavily fortified military base.
Driver: Norman Biggs, Vehicle: Hammerhead- monster truck, a Ford Aerostar with big-ass wheels.
Driver: Former Capt. Jamie Roberts, Vehicle: Outlaw- police cruiser

I love how Sweet Tooth is a flippin' twisted serial killer, as odd as that sounds.I tell you what, I CANNOT find Twisted Metal art on here, and I think I've stumbled upon some good stuff

Awesome job, but what's the story behind Nathan Biggs? I remember the Hammerhead in TM2, about how those 2 guys wished for flight, but died when they thought they could actually fly through the air

My interpretation for the characters were different than most. I thought of Axel's character background as unrealistic and redundant... a man stuck in a machine punishing himself or being punished by other people (His father). I saw great potential and didn't see it used.
My version is Axel was a child of a researcher for a military government project, his father being the lead researcher. Ignoring and practically breaking many set military laws (Mainly because the father researcher also had total control of the base), they work on making Axel a first-generation "Improved Soldier". First they try chemicals to improve him, and when it fails, they need to make several contraptions to sustain his life, ultimately ending up in his two-wheeled death machine. Coupled with the fact that Axel is now completely insane with bloodlust, this makes him the almost perfect killer. However, Axel kills a few researchers after they refit weapons on his two-wheeler, and his father orders the Axel project to be scrapped/eliminated. Axel escapes, looking for release, and wanting to make sense of the rare flashes of sanity that racks his mind whenever he rides.
Axel is so hideous that as soon as he's out, there's an entire manhunt for him. He becomes folklore, "the man on two wheels", and Calypso finds him and shelters him, using him as a sort of makeshift companion, talking constantly to Axel even though Axel can't possibly answer back. The only time Axel really comes out is when he fights, much to Calypso's glee. Axel is a "fail-safe mechanism"... he's Calypso guarantee that there WILL be fighting and death and destruciton in his contest.
