Hiking through the woods following deer I came across this serene scene. It was like walking into a black and white photograph except the bench and a shed on the far side. Β It looked inviting but I only stayed long enough to photograph it and moved on to find my deer image which I captured just a little while later. Β This is located at Eagle Creek Park outside of Indianapolis and adjacent to Eagle Creek Wildlife Preserve.(c)rongiveans 2013

A beautiful composition with the blue bench balanced nicely by the shed. Notice how the shed provides balance by its proximity to the center of the photograph, like two children on a see-saw where the large child can balance only by moving toward the balance point. The bench appears larger because it is closer. Β The center of the photo is empty, which in this photo is perfect because it holds the eye in the bottom and away from the totally empty sky. Quite a gem.Β
