Still on my Dragon Quest 8 kick.I like the over all look of this doodle, some things i think could use some work.

I tell ya wot, guv, this blighter was the bee's knees- many were the times Yangus made me laugh... the bar fight in Simpleton bein' the crowning piece. 
If there's a fella who don't get a laugh from this vid, the blighter needs ta' get his head checked.

Over here in the UK, Nintendo are publishing Dragon Quest IX, and are hyping it up to high heaven, much like they did with Monster Hunter Tri earlier in the year.
Naturally, I am sold, despite never having played a DQ game before.

Yangus is the perfect balance to the hero in this story and becomes a very important ally to the crew as they travel. Between his "Helm Breaker" and "Axes of Evil", he's got two of the most powerful without any MP cost attacks in the game.

Dragon quest is great, I am a fan of Toriyama's work. He's a true inspiration.

I still need to beat Dragon Quest 8, ended up getting sidetracked with the monster arena and forgot what I was supposed to be doing. Now I'm stuck on 9. Great games, and apparently theres costumes of a bunch of old Dragon Quest characters, including Yangus, in it.

Aye, especially the slime gear. Garish Cloth + Slimedrops = awesome defense, but my word... its just scary...
The only thing worse than the better stats, ugly gear issue, is the fact I'm willing to endure some horribly weak gear, simply because of the gears appearance... if only they allowed us to fuse one item stats to another items appearance!

Ah, I just put it on my goth/emo mage male, he needed the defense. Thankfully the lvl 15 mage-quest gear is worlds better, and looks good to boot (reminds me of Ceasars starting stuff from White Knight).
My martial artist is currently wearing bunny ears, bunny suit, and fishnets, and even bunny tail, I swear its just for the stats though!

lol it's ok if it's a girl, mine has: bunny ears, blue dress, leather gloves (I think?) tussle pants and kung-fu shoes. It looks nice AND is decent stats. o wo The bunny suit I haven't found and the stockings+tail are too weak at this point (unless you meant the tail accessory). How is mage? I like having a lot of muscle, so I have a warrior (myself), martial artist, thief and priest (for being a black man of the cloth he sure hits the enemies a lot).

The bunny suit is a mini-medal reward for 14 medals I believe. And yeah, the bunny tail accessory. I have the agility one, but part of me just felt like completing the set.
And my group is pretty much yours, but mage instead of priest. He's currently a few levels behind (21 instead of the others 24s) cause I tried out priest.
I'd say its a good class though. Gains access to party-wide accelerate rather early, crackle and bang have always been good spells early off, and especially so when crackle deals 40-60 to each enemy in a group (not all sadly). His lvl 15 class quest is easy too. Kill 10 enemies with frizz while a certain staff thats given to you is equipped. Easy as going back to the starter area and one-shotting everything there. If multiple enemies pop up, target one and warcry the other.

lol, Sasaki (martial artist) & Shun (thief) are so ridiculously fast. EVEN MY PRIEST IS FASTER THAN ME. FFF-
I'll have to work on gettin' my mini-medals then! So far I've only turned in 9. I keep forgetting to head back. Just got the boat so I was exploring. |D.

lol, my mage is the slowest in my team for some reason.
And I know how that is, been sailing about myself since I got the boat yesterday, working on making some major cash-ola though. Who knew ear coseys would be the best way to make cash since sliced bread when you start off!
