*********Edited the fur texture, because the cel shaded effect didn't work so well with the rest of the shading. It's looser now, but feels better, in my opinion.
*********Sorry for the long absence, everyone! Here's an elven cave girl to make up for it. Her outfit is very similar to my goblin girl... doh! Oh well, the tail is a fun add on, so why not? XD

Pitch forks and torches? Haha why? Draw what you want, man! Don't let other people's ideals get in your way. Especially when most of the time they don't even make sense. If you like to draw dat slinky booteh, draw that slinky booteh.

Pssssh. The thing is people associate me in a more main stream way and because so many of the heroes are ladies (in the comic) they want me to be all like Corporate about it? I dunno, all I know is people have always given me flak, the only time I got away with anything close was the few Beach comics I did, so I may do more of that XD

Yeah, I can see how that could happen. I was a pinup artist from day one, so when I started doing my non pinup stuff on the side, like my fantasy scenes and whatnot, it was just a happy extra. if anything, I get flak if I go too long without drawing something sexy, or for not drawing nudes anymore. I just ignore those people, honestly, because I don't owe them anything. I draw what I want, when I want. Either they like what they see, or they can move one. I appreciate the people who do, but they don't own me or my art.
The problem is that fans of your content start to take ownership of it, not allowing you to deviate at all from what they expect. This is revolting to me. It's no different than taking ownership of a person you are attracted to, just because you are attracted to them... as if being attracted to someone is a gift you give to them that requires compensation. Your art belongs to you, and they are lucky that you share it. This doesn't interfere with the feeling of being lucky for having fans. The two views can exist at the same time, and that's called mutual respect. Ya know?
Going a bit further with the comparison to human attraction and fandom... Just because you are attracted to someone doesn't give you the right to their body. Furthermore, if someone does decide to share their body with you, it doesn't mean that you get to tell them what to do with it. Seems a pretty simple concept, ideologically, but I also understand that it's not that easy to achieve, when you have a group of fans that don't respect that ideal. Honestly, most fans these days seem to take such crazy ownership of their fandoms that it does begin to limit how the original creators can express their works. But just because that's how it is, doesn't mean that's how it should be. If my fans started going at me for posting skimpy girl pics, or anything else I wanted to draw, I'd fight back really hard, and maybe even get a bit aggressive about it. But that's just me. I really value my freedom of choice!

Absolutely gorgeous. I don't see a conventional purpose of having that tail but it definitely makes her look more adorable without making her too furry-looking. Not only that but i think i saw a vast improvement in your artwork in terms of minor detailing.
I haven't seen the initial cel shaded that you mentioned but i do agree that the fur does look...what's the proper term, poofy? It makes them more natural-looking basically since she's obviously a primal type of person. Nonetheless, great work so far! Hope to see more in the future!
