Here is a sketch that I decided to color. Just some simple cell shading. Ok, so she's either in the locker room after gym, or she just woke up from cryo-sleep during a deep space mission. Not sure...2 hours

There's just not enough works that have 2D shadings that corresponds to both the anatomy and on how the Light source hits and effects within that area...

out on how it should correspondΒ to both the anatomy and on how the Light source hits and effects within that area. So far one of worst and annoying part for me is the Torso, abdominal area, stomach, etc..

But seriously, I have noticed a lot of artists tend to look to other pieces of art for inspiration. While this is good, I often find that when it comes to references for things like physics (lighting, gravity, weight, movement, etc) real life is best. I just take what I see in real life and translate it through my own style, as apposed to translating someone else's "translation" (their art).
