Oh cool! You're certainly the kind of artist who can bring other's characters to life. With all your personality and iconic designs. Great work, dude.

Really cute and sweet looking dryad girl. I guess those are more gardening coveralls than engineering coveralls ? Grin.

Thanks! Actually, I haven't had a chance to take a break, as I have been finishing up these last few commissions. Still have a few left! I will definitely make an announcement when I am done with my commission responsibilities, because then... it's on! I will be putting out a lot of personal art!

I dunno if the girl up front is a goblinoid tinker or some kind of plantgirl tinker, but either way she's adorable.

I think the characters need to be spaced out a bit more on the forward-backward axis. As it is, it sort of feels like they're intersecting in space.

They aren't. I made a 3d model reference for the characters for this piece, so that it would be perfect. You are probably being thrown off by the camera perspective(camera is at waist level instead of head level, which pushes the feet closer together).

Thanks for the comment, Whitney!
As for the scale, I used a camera angle that put horizon line low instead of head level, which makes them loom a little bit. I suppose I could have used bricks for the path to better show the pushed perspective, but alas, I was already pushing the deadline, so it had to be finished. I see what you mean about the shadows, but I was also trying to balance out the contrasts. I was using a reference for the Colosseum, and color sample the shades to make sure that I had it right. I actually went a bit lighter on the shadows than the real thing, so I really don't want to go even lighter. I think the problem is that the shadows of the characters are too light, but again, I didn't want to make it too contrasty and draw attention away from the faces. In the end, this may not be entirely scientifically correct, but it does the job I was asked to do: Give the characters most of the shot while still fitting the background building into it as well.

absolutely! yeah I figured you were really buckling down to pump out work quickly! Again, I may be incorrect, it was just something that caught my eye.
These kind of shots are so difficult! Ive been to the Colosseum and its absolutely massive! I applaud you for making your own rendition of it for a commission O.o
