I think you need some quick color tips for stuff like this. Cause seriously...they can be done very fast...very very fast.

it wasn't the coloring that i had trouble with lil XD
no no no the coloring was nothing.
....... it was *believe it or not* the proportions XDD
that head is inCREDIBLy hard to put on that body!! D; i redrew it about ten times D<
so ... i need pony practice XD but i did like the how the legs came out :3

Pony proportions are evil....
Me and Cherry had to look up some references when we started, too.
After you draw half a dozen or so...the proportions come very naturally. XD
You know what's really ironic...just the other day, I found a 'how to draw my little pony' book for my kids. XD I know it's silly...but that seriously would have come in handy for the comic.
