Linkle was announced for Hyrule Warriors!First time drawing my own lines in PS and not using the pen tool!
I fished around for some tips and tricks for smoother lines and they seem to have worked and I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
Tried a bit of a different background this time, as I'm usually lazy with them.
Still took me wayyy too long to finish, but I'm slowly getting a bit faster, so that's good.

I might start sketching on paper with a pencil first. After scanning that in (or sketching digitally) I do all the lineart and colours digitally. I'm a bit lazy with backgrounds so I might look for some free to use textures online.
I'm drawing on a simple Wacom tablet and I've mostly used Photoshop but lately I've been trying out Manga Studio as well.
For this one I scanned my rough sketch into PS, "inked" the lineart, filled in flat colours and finally added shadows and higlights on top of the colours. The background is just a free watercolour texture I found.
