I just see you care about Shayu a lot and it's wonderful!
I don't really like those artists who has literally 4000 OCs and they don't even care about them. (I have only 2 characters, lol :Đ)
I think characters/sonas should come from your heart and soul.
But it's just my personal opinion, of course!

First of all, dont even apologize about that! I love these sorta convos alot; getting to listen to peoples views and OC talk :'D I see a passion that i share with you too, and i definitely agree with you!
Its like, i think these sorta artists make ocs just for the sake of claiming a design, or really just for the sake of having ALOT of ocs and nothing more; While i dont see it as a bad thing, it sometimes feels like wasted potential, character and artist wise. ;_; So many of them can have their own story, own personality and vibe, but instead they're just there existing in the void, not cared for, only "claimed" and thats it.
I am with you when it comes to the heart and soul. I always created characters according to these two important aspects. Something that will make them more then just a character or a persona, yknow! My shayu is someone like that :'D Had this guy for ever since i started my journey as an artist. He evolved from a mere mainy to my personification of an artistic soul, as well as this sorta "mirror guardian" figure that grew to really help me on with how i view myself and life in general. While having his own story, hes very symbolically connected to me in aspects im yet to fully explore; and this is what makes drawing him so fun ;; Its like a peak to one soul that we both share, while having two different hearts and views. which really motivates me to get up and actually start showing/telling about him more and share why hes so important to me through his character!
Its just really nice to owe such OCS that have this depth and connection. be it 10 or 1, as long as they have this meaning in them that truly makes them shine/ And having someone else connect or love them as well is double the happy feelings!
Also, awesome! I wish you luck with the finals, i will definitely send a message whenever you're ready and free around that time :'D Pass dem final with pride and let yourself rest afterwards, we all deserve it after such stressful and time consuming school-stuff, agh! <3
