Description
Ever since I was born I was making trips back and forth to Kansas. Mainly on Hwy 70 (I don't recall when Hwy 70 first went all the way thru).

I remember seeing these old houses, that once they became abandoned, started looking kind of cool & spooky.

As I got older the houses started to disappear. In 1992 I got my first new car (a Saturn SL2). Since I now had a car reliable enough to make the trip by myself, I felt I should now take the time to photograph as many of these houses as I could.

This is first of the Hwy 70 houses I photographed. Too bad the front porch had aready fallen.

The house is on a slope and is much bigger than it appears from this angle. It also is more modern with a concret foundation and a garage underneath.
