Description I have one idea left for this little miniseries and then I'm probably gonna take a break from Skyrim comics for a little as the armor is becoming tiring to draw @_@

previos HtKyD comics:

I might open the series up to other people's stories later if anyone is interested

that, and distract enemies, carry my crap, marry me, fight centurions, scare away giants (that somehow happened once) and clear dwarven ruins for me c:

in all honesty, most people dont like lydia for whatever reason. but the worst follow is probably barbas. sure he's immortal, but he gets in the way too oftan, he constantly blocks pathways, pushes you, cant even carry your crap, and whenever im sneaking im always regestered as seen because for whatever reason he sets off my detection and pushes me arund making me miss my arrows. and he cant even carry my crap...

Well I don't have so much problems with her :'DΒ
I mean I youst don't take her with me. I Β don't need her and if I have to much crap, I jump on my horse and make a fast travel to somewere with a chest of mine xD maybe most people hate her because she can't die :uΒ

thelakotanoid1 In reply to LordStarsCreamy [2015-01-22 17:25:09 +0000 UTC]

she can die, if she's on the ground and gets attacked she'll die. happened 2 me a few times and i had to reload.Β

and i honestly dont like my horse very much because i think that stupid thing has a death wish. so lydia is good for carrying my 30+ dragon bones and scales c: and as stated before, distracting enemies so i can snipe them c:

Hmmm I guess youre right .o. *thinks about it*Β
enemys can't kill her but yourself could do it? ^^Β

thelakotanoid1 In reply to LordStarsCreamy [2015-01-24 18:15:23 +0000 UTC]

not true, if she's on the ground enemies will normally ignore her, but if she gets hit by them even unintentionally she'll die. if you're commanding her to do something and gets attacked she'll die without even going on the ground first. the only thing i found is tht environmental hazards such as dwemer blade death traps wont kill her Β

My 9 year old brother does this all the time. HOW DOES SHE NOT DIE? I kill all my partners within like a day. BUT THERE HE IS HAVINGHER KILL DRAGONS WHILE H RUNS AND JUST klajfklaejbkg;lekl;

only one of mine has ever died and that was because i killed them for a quest (and ended up completely regretting killing that specific follower aghh but oh well)
I tend to avoid open combat though so that's probably why mine aren't dead, can't speak for your brother's haha

I was fighting a dragon near Markarth one time and I had it on the ground and was beating it into submission, before I finally finished it off with a FUS RO DAH! Unknown to me, Lydia was behind the dragon attacking its tail. My Thu'um killed her and launched her off a cliff :\

i have... only then, can you loot their original weapons/equipement LOL

sadly, that is true. even the thief/brotherhood followers constantly step on pressure plates and traps. I'm like

Lydia has this stupid need to stand RIGHT where i need to go, in fact, once she swam in behind me through a narrow underwater tunnel, it was a dead hand, unfortunately Lydia decided that we can both breathe underwater with no true problems... stupid... (mumbles incoherently)

My Lydia ended up killing me by stepping on switch plates one too many times so now she guards my house instead of me. Besides I'm a melee type character and J'zargo from the College of Winterhold with his ranged destruction magic is a godsend for me. Nothing cooler than watching an enemy go flying because J'zargo blasted him with lightning magic prior to me killing him.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RoochArffer In reply to SonicDude87 [2012-01-24 18:40:41 +0000 UTC]

haha, Aela does that to me all the time
yeah I've decided if I plan on sneaking through a dungeon I might as well not bring a follower as I'll just set off all the traps and be seen anyways
I guess if you play with a meelee strategy it's really handy to have a long range attacker as well. however I play mostly as an archer and my dang companions are always getting in front of me so that I can't do anything without hitting them.

You say you might be open to other stories in the future? How about stealthing the entire Pinewatch bandits hideout with a single female Khajiit character, using no potions or magic, and laughing as each and every bandit goes, "What was that?" as their friend lies dead with an arrow in his back/chest/head/knee.

By Merrunz I love that x2 sneak damage!!

I was specifically looking for weird ways people have killed dragons
but I do find your idea entertaining haha
however I've seen similar comics [link] for example so I don't think I'll do it =\

and I love the extra sneak damage so much
I play exactly how you've described haha

I swear I killed her, and then I returned to Breezehome and she was sleeping in one of the rooms. LOL. XD

She is useful- but there is another mage in Winterhold College which is useful too... but she's crazy. :I

RoochArffer In reply to herakushi [2012-01-15 19:34:01 +0000 UTC]

I've never actually had Lydia follow me around (and thus have no hatred for her) - I just thought she would be most recognizable here... Usually Aela from the Companions guild is my follower if anyone.... I had a girl (I dunno if it was the same one) from the college of Winterhold for like 5 minutes because I needed someone to hold my stuff while I fast traveled haha

Tall Nords are tall. All the better breath/magic/arrow protection.

RoochArffer In reply to SporeRedland [2012-01-15 19:31:49 +0000 UTC]

lol well I was attempting that "perspective" thing at the time but I agree, I made her look really tall by accident
but I dunno if that would offer protection - seems like it would just make you a bigger target

SporeRedland In reply to RoochArffer [2012-01-15 20:45:43 +0000 UTC]

It's only better if you aren't the tall one, but can stand behind the tall one. XD

RoochArffer In reply to SporeRedland [2012-01-15 20:53:18 +0000 UTC]

I dunno, if you're stealthily shooting at the tall one, that could also be advantageous

You can see them over slightly higher rocks and they are given away by shiny Nordic hair. They also smell of Juniper Berries, a fine alchemy ingredient.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RoochArffer In reply to SporeRedland [2012-01-16 04:03:47 +0000 UTC]

exactly the example I was thinking of - those rocks just get in the way so often
Juniper berries eh?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SporeRedland In reply to RoochArffer [2012-01-16 04:21:47 +0000 UTC]

Juniper berry products are the ancient custom of Skyrim and all Nords. They bear what burdens may be bared by the indigenous bear-men of the north. This day, they grow in Sovngarde.
