I sketched the pose for this one and really liked it, so I ran with it. I tried to get really detailed with the clothing this time around. I didn't use a background because I thought it took away from the picture. And I was lazy.Also, I didn't blur my shading this time around. I'm not sure if I like it more or less this way.

Thanks, Ziggy! Anime Expo is probably a no-go this year (not like it was a good venue for me anyway), but I'll probably be in attendance at Comic-Con at least one of the days. I have to find out when the guys from The Venture Brothers are going to be there!

I know, I know, I like cute things, what can I say? Actually, I did a rough sketch of a very creepy, evil-looking fairy type thing, but I chickened out on trying to finish it. One of these days I'll do it, I promise!

My only critic would be that the raised foot does not look quite raised up enough for the angle the foot is at.
Otherwise, very nice. I really like how the netting came out on the arm and stockings.

Yeah, I was wondering when someone was going to comment on the foot. Trust me, it still looks better than the original pencil sketch. I probably should've had someone pose for me, but I was in a hurry to get it finished.

She reminds me of Raven, too.
I like the new style of shading you've been using lately, especially with the hair: it gives it more depth. Not blurring the shades gave it a nice, crisp look, as well, so it really stands out nicely. The overall design's wonderful, especially her wings and all the detail.
Overall? Beautiful.

I've been debating whether or not to use the unblurred shading on the storyline that starts Monday. I figure if people really hate it they'll let me know. Otherwise it'd be an interesting experiment!

I remember a while back on your comic you were saying you were changing the way you did hair 'cause you didn't like the old style you were using. I think you did a great job on it here. I think using multiple (is that three? Looks like you used three) colors is what makes it look more 'hair-like' here. Also, the highlights came out great.

One of the main reasons I started my DA account was so I could experiment with styles and then incorporate them into my work on the comic. I'd like to get to the point where I do the textured hair in Bardsworth, but it's a little more work than I'm willing to do at this moment.
