cheerleaders. another high school ritual that i will never understand.

personally, i don't view cheering as a sport, but rather as more of a popularity club. please, ladies, don't kill me.

this is another shot from my cousin's high school football game. this is not my school (and thank god, our cheer team is so much better than theirs ... ugh) therefore, i do not need to be patriotic at all. this was quite possibly the largest cheer squad i have ever seen in my life (i think they had more cheerleaders than they did football players). however much i may have disliked them, i am practicing covering an event fully, so i had to take a few shots. this one is, unfortunately, my favorite.

i find it very amusing to make up my own captions for what they're thinking ... especially the two in the middle. oh, the joys of high school photojournalism!!
