Description Chief's body is original with no paint touch-ups or changes. It has been cleaned inside and out. The brown spots are a natural and irreversible deterioration of the plastic. He had no tail and his mane was cut badly and unevenly, so I have rehaired him with new nylon hair in an alternate color scheme. The mane is glued on the inside for stability and is fully stylable.

That is a very handsome version! As per usual I would have preferred a shorter hairstyle - then he would have looked like an actual variation


Considering how intact eyes and symbols are its always extra sad when they get spots or get haircuts.

You did a magnificent choice and a really good work! Handsome!

I have a hard time cutting hair to the right length where it looks like the original hair length but I agree that would be good

I think the hardest part is that most of us realizes how much hair we would end up just throwing away if we cut all the customs

yup, the brown spots are the "cancer"

I think it's actual name is Vinyl Deterioration Syndrome (VDS) that things like barbies and other vinyl/plastic toys can get as the plastic breaks down

Does it spread to other ponies in close contact?  I read about some kind of pony-plastic malady that spreads, but I forget which one it was.

I don't know that it's been proven. I've not seen it happen with my own ponies, but other people have said it does
