Description I don't know what kind of skink. Five lined skink? It was very friendly.

That's a really, really nice photo. How did you get so close? Skinks are usually really skittish. o.o

Great photo! And, look! He (she?) even posed for you!

Every spring, we have a baby toad invasion. They're so small that they can sit on your thumbnail. I saw one yesterday. Did I have my camera with me? Nooo... This time of year, deer have their babies, too. They use the woods behind our house as a "nursery." Maybe I can finally get a picture of one this year!

I'll try... but they're really small and they won't hold still! The fawns OR the toads! They come out at night and hunt for bugs in our driveway (heh, the toads, not the fawns). I've discovered that some of them like to be petted. They actually lean into my finger when I rub their cheeks and shoulders... either that, or they're just trying to rub toxin all over me!

Haha! Aw, so cute! They lean into your finger? I live in the city so there's hardly any critters around here... besides the usual city critters. I went for a trip to the countryside with some friends last weekend, that's where I took this picture.

I grew up in the suburbs, and I couldn't wait to find a place to live in the country. I like it most because of the trees... and the critters!

Not really that blue, kinda greyish. Maybe it's still young? Is it female? I know the males lose the striking lines as they age.
