oh this is really good! in gimp you can click on the layers menu at the top of the window that you draw in and click add new layer. The layers are supposed to be in a separate small window to the right. I think u can find it in view or window or something like that. hope that helps!

Ah-it does have layers! But maybe you'll need to update your GIMP? Because in GIMP 2.2, it got that Layers right on the line from File. Free things are the best, lol.

One layer? Wow! That is amazing! As far as opening the other layers, if you go to Gimps official page, you can get tutorials on how to do just about everything.

I used to have it open to the layers but I somehow closed it. I never bothered to go back and try to open them since I had PS.

If you have a desktop icon and it says GIMP 2 its the second one.
If you cant get they layers I suggest you go to the little guide bar thing and look for the tab that says Windows and look for it.
If it has that. xT
