So THIS is Karada... Okay. I have trouble telling the different variations of Kinbaku apart.

Karada is the (to Roman translated) Japanese word and means "Body". A karada in a "bondage" contecxt is rope-around-a-body.

Ah, okay, but isn't it a specific pattern, like Ebi?

Karada doesn't define a pattern, since it "just" "body". This particular karada could be called a hishi karada because of the pattern. Another well know Japanese pattern would be kikkou and you could use that to create a kikkou karada.

It's always nice to see excellent rope work. Inasmuch as 3D is nice to look at, it is nothing compared to seeing the rope bite into the flesh.
Very nice photograph.

Ok, I don't go for the whole rope bondage thing, but I must admit that that is some impressive work. Great setup and cool photo.

What a beautiful photograph. The shadows and offset symmetry are perfect.
Just a question:have you ever tried to use color on just the ropes and leave everything else B&W? I think that might add a measure of feeling to it. Of course, that is just my $0.02.
