Description

Scalburn, one of the three Legendary Dragons in Amethyst version. The Legendary Dragon Trio consists of Scalshock (electric), Scalburn (fire), and Scalflood (water). Catching them consists of the same method used for Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Latios, and Latias, except that they are only found in areas that suit their element (ie Scalburn is found near volcanoes, Scalshock near electric areas like power plants, Scalflood near large bodies of water or icy lands, etc.). This narrows the search down, but not by much. The region Amethyst takes place in is quite large and has many of these element-specific areas in it.

Also, le gasp--in Amethyst all Legendary Pokemon have genders. Some have specific genders (like Mewtwo, which is always male) while others vary. The three legendaries from each generation have higher male gender rates and extremely low female gender rates. A select few can also now breed, and some even have baby forms!

Examples:
Mew-50/50 chance of being male or female when traded from another game, but the Mew from XD SF is ALWAYS male.
Mewtwo- Male 100%.
Articuno- Male-98.5%, Female- 1.5%
Celebi-50/50 chance of being Male or Female

Common Natures: Serious, Hardy
Rare Natures: Jolly, Naive
Gender Rate: Male-98.5%, Female- 1.5%
Shiny Colors: Lighter orange and bluish underbelly with pale yellow flames

Pokedex T/L: A very sturdy Pokemon. Although it doesn't like getting wet, it can retract its flames to swim across rivers and lakes.

Pokedex A/SF: The flames on its body can be as hot as 4,000 degrees. It frequently takes baths in molten lava to clean and repair its scales.

Pokemon XD: Shadow Force Info: Scalburn doesn't make an appearance, but is mentioned as one of the "Great Dragon Gods" of the region (that I have yet to name).
