Mum took a photo during Orla's farrier visit and for some reason I fell in love with the photo! So just a loose experiment with texture based on that.Related content

I can see that you were inspired by the photo, this is such a lovely painting! The warm colors mixed with the sooty dark shades really are reminiscent of the glow of a forge, which is very appropriate for a farrier... and I love how all the soft textures and warm light draw together to focus on the central sharpness of an alert eye
