I imagine that when robots become commonplace in society, discrimination against them will still exist. Bigots will exist no matter what, sadly, and the advent of a new type of people, ones who were designed to be subordinate and are often demonized in the media, would be cause for many to see them as inferior beings. I, for one, will be one of those people fighting for robots to be treated fairly.I thought I'd have Alice read about robot rights. Though she's a robot, much as she denies it, she's so human-like that she could easily pass for a human. However, even if she doesn't believe she's a robot, she can still empathize with them and understand that they are people who, much like the humans that built them, deserve equal treatment unless their individual actions prove them to be unworthy of respect. I don't know if Alice will become a robot rights activist, but it does seem like something she might be concerned with. Perhaps that's why she tries to believe she is human.
