As a Christian, I'm familiar with Lent, though it's not something I participate in. More specifically, I know about Lenten sacrifices, when one gives up something during the 40 days before Easter (i.e. meat, alcohol, sweets, etc...). From what I've read, this is more of a Catholic practice, at least in the US, where ~60% of Catholics observe Lent, compared to only 20% of Protestants doing so. But hey, as long as they aren't hurting others, I'm not gonna judge what someone does to feel spiritual fulfillment.
Since Andrea is openly Christian, I wondered if she participated in Lent. Her girlfriend, Izzy, has decided to ask her if she does. Izzy's not really religious, so she doesn't know as much about Christian holidays and practices as Andrea does, but she does like to know more about her girlfriend. Andrea doesn't exactly seem the type to engage in the self-denial that Lenten sacrifice is about. She may pray and repent during Lent, perhaps even some almsgiving, but self-denial doesn't seem like something an openly-gay Christian would do...
