As I've become a more and more avid supporter and promoter of LGBTQ+ rights and representation, Pride Month in June has become a bigger deal to me. A whole month dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ people is something I just cannot pass on.  But unlike so many other people (and especially companies), I'm not restricting my celebration to June. People aren't gay only one month of the year, so why should I only depict characters in same-sex relationships during that time of year?
I thought I'd draw Brian and Gamite discussing this. Brian X Gamite was one of my first Achillean OC couples and it's something I've tried to maintain with both characters as the years have gone on. While Brian has become more and more of a douche, especially regarding Ophelia, he's always loved & cared about Gamite.  So when Gamite's upset over not doing something to celebrate their homosexuality or their same-sex love last month, Brian is cheering him up. He's reminding Gamite that they don't have to limit themselves to celebrating only during June. They can be proud of who they are any day of the year.
