Description There is a picture from the G-Anime 2013 masquerade!

Because this is a back view, you can more or less see the big bird appliqués I've sewed on the sailcloth and the blue apron (I really do not know how to call it). Unfortunately, the back of my wig was starting to give up on me a little bit, but you can still see how it was tied.

***
I've used a white, kind of heavy and a bit stretchy fabric for the sailcloth. I decided to use a heavier fabric mainly because of how it was meant to be used in the game, but it makes it difficult to tie on my own. I'vesewed on the bird appliqué (which I drew myself) using heat and bond.

The blue apron was made in a very similar way: I sewed on the bird appliqué on blue cotton fabric and then added the blue borders to it using a method similar to making quilting borders. To put it on, I simply have to slide it on the brown vinyl belt. Altough it should probably have been smaller, I still like the results very much.

The wig was my old Ocarina of Time Zelda wig (which I am defenitely remaking). I've put the wig on my head so that my mom could cut the bangs at a flattering lenght for my face shape. I've then used bathing to make the hair look thicker, but still natural. I've done the same thing for the back of the wig. The ribbons are simply bias tape which I've pressed to the right size and tied around my wig. I didn't want these to look perfect to obtain some kind of "I've done my hair this morning" look, just like Zelda would have done on the wing ceremony day.

I have put a lot of love into this cosplay, and I seriously cannot wait to go take more pictures of it! I want to try taking pictures with a context or some kind of story to see how it goes. To have more details about how I made the dress, you can go read the description on my full view picture of this cosplay: [link]

If you have any questions about this costume, feel free to ask me and I'll answer you to the best of ym capabilities!

As Zelda from Skyward Sword
