Description I made this today after buying 's Tornado 2-pack (containing Apple Green and Works Grey liveries. Works Grey has the A1 Trust Headboard).

From left to right...

Design by Arthur Peppercorn
LNER Peppercorn Class A1 No. 60163 "Tornado"
LNER Peppercorn Class A1 No. 60161 "North British"

Designs by Sir Nigel Gresley
ex-LNER (now NWR) Gresley Class A0 No. 4 "Gordon"
LNER Gresley Class A3 No. 4472 "Flying Scotsman"
LNER Gresley Class A4 No. 4468 "Mallard"

Gordon's prototype class, the "A0", was never built, but the plans do exist.

It's funny because gordon is the only one with square buffers, x3

I consider 'gordon' to be a load of fictional rubbish and instead prefer the REAL history of the 'A0'

Regarding the Peppercorn and Gresley designs;
Evidently, the A4 is a streamlined development of the A3. The Peppercorn A1 is infact the final development of Thompson's pacifics, which started with Thompson's rebuild of 4470, so technically the four are 'related'

Well, ever since I uploaded this picture, I was thinking of using the RWS Faceless Model instead of the TV Series model so it looks more realistic.

I believe only the Gresleys are Gordon's family, and the Peppercorns are another family, as are the Thompsons. It makes more sense that way, rather than wheel-arrangements.

That's exactly what I think.

I consider every member of the Pacific Family to be Gordon's Brothers Sisters and Cousins even tank engine pacifics.
The C38s the Victorian S class and the LNER A1/A3s are my favs of the family.
Nice to see the Outback Australia route being used again.
