Description
Whose side are you on?Plants - Heroic organic supersoldiers created by mankind to defend the human race and the entire world from Zombie domination. Since the year 2009 when the ongoing war broke out, they have become the mainstay of anti-Zombie enforcement.
Zombies - Servants to Dr. Zomboss going ballistic to destroy the Plants and conquer mankind, armed with various sorts of technology consisting of Plant-lethal firearms, robots, mechs, abomination experiments and more. They have earned themselves the title by Plants and humans as the absolute incarnation of evil.
inb4 Gnomes...I have little plans for them to be a part of my AU - so far they're a mention-only kind of thing.
And spoiler alert: No humans are and never will be affiliated with Zombies. Haha!

I actually find the zombies ironically funny due to their "mindless" shenanigans from time to time, how they sometimes screw up Zomboss's plans even when it seems the plants are done for.
However, I find the plants extremely cute and adorable, and how they always work together even in the toughest of times.

Thanks. Months prior to choosing this name, it was only a planned name - I couldn't really think of a name for it.
Even if it's a dark take on the PvZ franchise, it still has some of the franchise's charm, such as the puns. You can't have PvZ without puns.

I've had the idea of certain events in my AU referencing dates of certain game things.
A notable event is during mid 2013 where both factions advance their units (Plants gaining the tall, movable GW Units and Zombies gaining more advanced weaponry and troop types), which references Garden Warfare 1's announcement at E3 2013.

The concept of advanced technology existing in past years is fun, like Nazis creating robots, mech suits and mutants in the Wolfenstein series.
