I made a small story with Callie and Marina based on the recurring theme in Splatoon 2 of Callie being lonely. It's brought up in the Sunken Scrolls, Squid Sister Stories, and the Splatoon 2 relationship chart. Could this be seen as a crackship?

It was a bright, sunny day. The sun was shining, the sky was shimmering blue, and joy and excitement ringed through the air as Arowana Mall was buzzing with either customers looking for the freshest stuff, or squid kids getting into mayhem as usual. "The example of the perfect summer day", Callie thought to herself as she watched teens race through the mall with a small smile. "People everywhere, it's like a festival...so why do I feel so lonely?" Ever since the final Splatfest and her solo career took off, Callie had felt different. She was spending more and more time away from Marie, and it was really taking a toll on her. Even after she was rescued by Agent 4 and brought back home, she still felt down sometimes. "If only Marie had the day off too," she thought, "then we could both have fun today..." She looked back on what happened when she got saved the New Squidbeak Splatoon. Specifically, she remembered Marie. Her sad, desperate singing during the battle with DJ Octavio, and the relief and joy in her eyes when Callie came to. These thoughts made her feelings of loneliness worse. "Oh Marie...I hope you're ok right now.." Callie shook her head, "What am I saying? Of course she is!" She leaned back on a palm tree with a somber look in her eyes. "I hope so, anyway..."
"Hi, Callie!"
The sound of her name made the squid in pink snap out of her funk and look in the direction of the voice. What she saw was a tall, dark-skinned octoling with a kind yet shy look in her eyes. Callie's eyes lit up. "Marina!!! Good to see you!" Marina waved and walked up to her. "It's so good to see you too! I wasn't expecting to see you here!" Despite her trying to maintain her reserved demeanor, it was clear to Callie Marina was fangirling on the inside. "Hehe, I appear wherever the hype is! Today, it's in Arowana Mall!" "Definitely, though something's a little off..." Marina looked quizzically around the area they were in. "Where is Marie? It's strange to see you two not together." Callie's expression changed again. "Oh, she's just at work right now. Today is my day off! So, I'm on my own today..." Her face showed a smile, but Marina could tell how she really felt. "Speaking of which, where's your other half", the squiddy asked curiously. "Oh, Pearlie? She's home. Didn't want to quit her game." The two girls giggled, but Callie's began to die down and her face became somber again. Marina couldn't stand to see one of her friends sad, especially one of her idols. "Poor Callie...what can I do to help?" The octo tried to think of ways to help her squid friend, when an idea popped in her head like a hyperbomb. "What if...I spent the day with you instead?" Callie was shook like a inkstrike just went off behind her. "Really?! You mean it?!" "Y-yeah," Marina replied shyly (with additional blushing), "that way you're not alone!" Suddenly, Callie dove onto Marina, giving her a seabear-hug (I'm not sorry). "Thank you, thank you!!!" Marina struggled to get up, while also hugging Callie back in the process. "D-don't mention it!" The two cephalogals got back on their feet. Marina wrapped her arm around Callie's neck, still red in the face. "Shall we get going?" Callie reciprocated, with a huge smile on her face. "Of course!" Even if she wasn't with Marie, Callie was happy that she was no longer alone.
