It's really interesting to contrast this photograph with "I was lost...I was lost" [link] You might even want to think about putting them side by side. I guess I'm going to comment on them both.
"I was lost" is a closely cropped, beautifully proportioned, geometric photo featuring a beautiful, confident, somewhat seductive young model (who looks anything but lost BTW). This photo has an expanse of white textured background in which the model is much diminished in emphasis; the pose is somewhat shy, withdrawn and the clothing boyish. The cascading hair, warm smile and angles in the posture are completely feminine, a nice contrast.
The texture on the wall becomes more apparent upon study, and then the texture of the jeans, the scarf, the t-shirt, hair and skin reveal themselves. What at first glance seemed an almost austere photo is actually brimming with tactile triggers.
