Shining Armor resides in the Crystal Empire along with his wife and family, Ruling beside Cadence he had to undergo some lessons on how to be a Prince and at first it was hard for him since the most recalled lessons that he could remember being stressful where when he was training to be one of the Royal Guard and worked his way up to Captain. But this was a bit more challenging since while he was married he mostly worked as the Captain of the Royal Guard he was very skilled with fighting and defense techniques but Debating terms with other countries and attending royal functions was a bit awkward and stressful for him and he worried constantly if he were to mess up. But Shining was put up against worse situations and he had always been known for his determination and through hard work and some encouragement from his wife and family he managed to pass with Flying Colors.

He is known to the goofy and something embarrassing father always loves to spend time with his family and secretly got his eldest daughter Flurry Heart into comic books, he is a devoted husband and loving father if not sometimes a bit embarrassing. He enjoys when Twilight visit's them with his Nephew and Niece. On one of his wedding anniversaries Cadence had a special medallion made for Shining Armor and he didn't really care if it looked a bit to fancy for his liking, his wife had it made and he could tell she put a lot of thought and love into it and wears it proudly despite sometimes over hearing the guards making fun of it, but even though they thought they couldn't hear them, he would always say with a big smirk, if they thought it was to girly for him then maybe they would like to clean out the guards latrine for a month.

Many would just shut up and continue one and yet somehow wonder how did he hear them?
