Description
Here's a fanmade manga based cover of my part in The9Lord 's World of Light AU, with this being the cover as one of the AU's Anime-like Arcs called, Light and Darkness Connection.Plot:
There's light, and there's darkness.
Many people believe they don't get along.
It may be true, but not between a treat of sincere bond of love and trust.
Following the story of psychic deredere Lucas (the protagonist), out-going spirit Toadette, clumsy leader Luigi, determined fighter Falco, and insercure double agent Isabelle, venturing out to defeat Galeem and save the trapped spirits.

Characters
Lucas Hojo
The main protagonist of the Light and Dark Connections arc.
A young and strong deredere psychic with a loving heart.
Lucas is always there to support and care for his friends and teammates.
When the situation gets tough, he'll truly show his support in his kind sincere personality.
Toadette Kinoko
Partner of Lucas, and deutagonist of the Light and Dark Connections arc.
This mushroom girl is an out-going and playful girl, always happy to go out in an adventure.
Despite being just a spirit, Toadette is still willing to stay strong and fight Galeem and her army of corrupted light.
Luigi Miyamoto
A clumsy leader, who tends to make mistakes.
Wanting to play the hero, Luigi is a close-minded but caring friend and leader.
Always wanting to get into fights to be noticed, and even going so far into defeating Galeem by himself.
Despite these flaws, this leader still has the heart to care for his teammates, especially the youngs ones.
Falco Lombardi
Determined to fight, and has a strong caring heart.
Being known to be the strongest of the team, along with being close to those around him.
Falco is Lucas' father-figure, along with being part-tsundere and part-yandere.
He doesn't mind Lucas being close to others besides him, but if that person is hurting him, Falco will NOT hesitate to kill that person.
Isabelle Beru
Serving as the anti-hero and tritagonist in the Light and Darkness arc.
Once worked for Team Yami's leader, Daisy, Isabelle was once manipulated but turned her back against the dark leader soon after.
Isabelle is Team Hikari's double-agent with an insecure personality.
She deeply loves her true team, Team Hikari, as much as a family, joining them cause of their true sincere kindness.
Daisy Deiji
Leader of the opposing team, Team Yami, and main antagonist of the Light and Dark Connections arc.
Being a cold, cunning, and manipulative princess, the ones she manipulated treat her as a kind queen, but with an iron fist.
Unlike others, Daisy uses her dark magic to suck the spirits out of their puppet bodies, before imprisoning them with them being filled with fear.

Supporting Characters
Digby Beru
The spirit partner and older brother of Isabelle.
He was found one night before Isabelle met Lucas and Toadette, forming a sibling and (platonic) partner relationship.
At first, Digby was save by Team Star Allies, the same with Isabelle before, but chose to leave the team to find her, which he successfully did.
This puppy always looks out for his sister, and if he can't do anything to stop the pain physically, Digby will be by Isabelle's side to confort her mentally.
Flint Hojo
Lucas' father, and Falco's spirit partner.
A strong a dependant character, whom acts like close friends (almost like brothers) to Falco, his spirit partner.
He cares about his team, and will at least give advice to them, such as battle techniques or just helping Falco keep everyone together.
James McCloud
Luigi's spirit partner, and Falco's temporary spirit partner.
Unlike the others, James doesn't have a great partner relationship with his partner.
He chooses to leave Luigi be, as he thinks it's just his choice to choose what to do since he's the leader.
But James eventually regrets his actions for not even trying to help Luigi, whom later received his demise.
Driblee Mizu (NEW)
Lucas' secondary spirit partner.
A young calm and collected water dragon, and one of Lucas' close friends.
She is interested in water and ice, and hates hot weather.
Birdon Sukai (NEW)
Falco's secondary spirit partner.
Once was a caged bird, wanting a wish to explore the rest of the world.
She's very close to Driblee and Lucas, and idolizes Falco, whom she finally meets.
Kirby Sakurai
Leader of Team Star Allies, and main protagonist in the main World of Light arcs.
He's cheerful but at the same time sensitive, wanting and willing to save the world from Galeem's control.
Lucas and Toadette eventually made an alliance to the pink puffball to save the rest of Team Hikari.
Mario Miyamoto
Luigi's older brother, and member of Team Star Allies.
Mario can be a clumsy fire-wielding jump man, but he's definitely a loyal and strong friend.
When he learned why Luigi attacked him earlier, he started to worry (so much) on what has gotten into his younger brother.
Simon Belmont
A member of Team Yami.
He spied on Isabelle that night she confessed her true feelings about being left behind to Lucas, Toadette, and Digby, then Simon reported this back to Daisy.
After knowing what Daisy is planning for Isabelle's punishment, he eventually regrets his actions.
Later, he revealed himself to Lucas, Toadette, and Team Star Allies, telling them Daisy's plans.
Simon also manages to save Pit (who's found in Daisy's base), and gave comfort towards Mega Man (so that the robot boy will feel safe), with all three of them now joining Team Star Allies.
Ridley
The second-in-command of Team Yami.
He follows Daisy just for no reason, and is completely loyal to her.
This dragon beast is a careless and hotheaded betch whom only cares for his leader, Daisy.
After Daisy was purified, Ridley actually showed comfort to her, after knowing what she had done, he forgave her.

Edit since I can't Edit this Comment Anymore: "A New Era" is now the Ending of the "Light World" Arc Rather than the Beginning of the "Dark Realm" Arc. Just to make More Sense from it. :3

omg you actually choosed Simon to be the one who spied Isabelle, i was having the same idea too! (but i wasn't fully sure if to use it or not :v)

I've actually had no idea who to use for the character who spied on Isabelle at first.
When I've chose Simon to be the one that was spying on her I had two reasons to chose him:
*I've wanted at least the Captain N characters (Pit, Mega Man, and Simon himself) together, which I did put, I've also pictured that Simon will find Pit in Daisy's base (which I also picture it to be Temple of Light zone), and will be able to convince Mega Man that everything will be fine (as the robot boy felt insecure to join anyone excluding Simon and Pit (to me at least)).
*He alongside Isabelle are the ONLY newcomers that show up in the Light Realm in the actual game, the rest of the newcomers appear in the Dark Realm.
So that's why I chose him.

I like the idea of Digby being rescued by the main squad, but leaves to go find his lil' sis (much like Peach left to go find Daisy)
James:
His relationship with Luigi is actually quite interesting, i feel bad for the poor fox boi ;w;
Simon:
I liked everything you wrote for him honestly Xd
Ridley:
I like the idea of him being loyal to Daisy, that purple dragon boi finally isn't acting like the sadistic and bloodthirsty monster he is ;w;
not so sure about Flint, Mario and Kirby though :v

Why are Pichu and Isabelle Anti-Heroes? I can Understand Pichu since People HATE Him. (In fact, I made the Pichu that had to be Rescued an Anti-Hero Myself in My Story where he was an "Amalgamate" of Sorts.) But why Isabelle? Everyone Loves her and I didn't see ONE Person Hate Her! Maybe it'll make sense In Context or Something...

To be honest, I’ve actually had some people help me with the sketch, I just did the painting part.
I just want to tell you this, you can also unlock the characters in World of Light.
If you unlock the characters in World of Light, they also become unlocked in the main Smash mode, plus they are easier to beat.
This is just a friendly suggestion if you also want to unlock the other characters in World of Light (since everyone starts of with kawaii Kirby :3).
Also, for the AU (which this artwork of mine is part of), there’s mostly platonic shippings.
Such as Lucas having Falco as a father-like figure rather then a lover.
Plus Lucas’ relationship with Toadette and Isabelle is also a platonic relationship, with them being great friends throughout the story. c:
