I know, mostly SU fan hate Andy DeMayo. Because, they thought Andy is bad and jerk to gem by his many lines looked racist for them like...
"A hobo is a man's job."
"They're illegal aliens! Wha...? You couldn't even marry an American?!"
"You turned your back on your family just so you could get in with a bunch of weirdo, hippie, Martian immigrants."
"You two, get the heck off my planet, out of my country, and out of my barn!"
But at least, Andy had a reason enough to angry and jerk at gems. He's trying to open-minded with Steven's gem family, and he just realize with his faults.
Andy is a likeble than Marty and Kevin, who is more jerk, big ego, selfish and, they never realize their fault. (I don't sure.)

I'm sorry, for someone like Kevin. (I know, some SU fan like this guy. I've seen some his fanarts in DA. I can't blame them, it's their right.)
