Thank you very much, it's a wonderful film imho, quite breathtaking, albeit strange at first in comparison to modern films. I think it's up on YouTube actually, but it is usually a difficult film to find.

Biest: *in pouty voice* the other figments of Laura's imagination were picking on me again.
Cosette: *in frighteningly calm voice* Well then we shall just have to teach them some manners. *pulls dagger from sleeve*
Biest: ... wut? *back away slowly*

yupyup... that's what happened.

It was a typo, they meant candy.

... I don't know... those things are everywhere... I'm sure someone would have fixed it before this, if that's what they meant.

Would it be freaky if I said the song βJoAnnaβ from Sweeney Todd comes to my mind?

This is really cool. It matched my childhood image of beauty, which is neat. Beauty's face looks kind of cold in this picture, not afriad, and dark as it might be, I imagine her saying, "The only thing I have control over anymore is my own life," holding the dagger, her last choice. Biest is behind her, having just trussed her up in pretty things to make her happy to be near him as he is to be near her, not yet seeing her dagger, or her resigned despair.

Im thinking that Biest tries to give her beautyfull garnets thinking it will make her happy. He falls in love with her and suffers from guilt of being her master. I think he might say something like "you look beautyfull" and she has a snappy comeback, with a voice dripping with hatred, something like "Yes we are quite the pair, Beauty and the Beast - to bad you dont turn into a handsome prince" or something. He gets hurt but says he understand her, and while he is talking she takes the dagger from her sleeve hoping to escape.

Was just looking at it realising I missed the dagger in Cosette's hand completely .... :S
So the monologue above is 'dagger-less', sorry.
