So, I felt kind of burnt out this weekend by art. I remedied that sensation of feeling burnt out by doing even more art...so there...Anyway, if you've known me for any length of time, you're probably aware that I really like the song "Love Song for a Vampire" by Annie Lennox. The music video is almost entirely clips from the film Dracula, but every now and again, Lennox makes an appearance, and MAN is she fun to watch. I really wish the music video would have been like...a Lady Dracula with her as the lead. She makes such awesome, hammy, silent film acting-esque expressions. There is really something frightening and compelling and sad about her few short moments. She's doing these fun, dramatic things with her eyes and mouth that I find so compelling. I keep wanting to see the movie where she's Dracula instead of Gary Oldman. (Even if I love Oldman.)
I needed to blow off some steam, so here she is. If you're curious you can see the video here. All together she is maybe in the thing for about 30 seconds...but she certainly takes the cake during those 30 seconds. [link]

I really love these. You keep the structure of her strong features consistent so well. I think I might try remedying my art burn out by doing more art too. lol Haven't been doing anything but UI for weeks on end. Night be good to some something else.

Thanks so much! I am trying to learn how to be more consistent with facial features, it's a real trick in comics! What is UI if you don't mind me asking? If it is stressing you out, I'd always suggest trying to just do short, fun studies, they're so relaxing!

User Interface. booo I hate it. Things are alright other than working with completely pig headed men. I've never been much of a feminist but these guys are really pushing me in that direction.

It's definitely a guilt pleasure of mine. I will admit it does have some pretty big flaws, but I think it more than compensates for that with it's strengths.
