Not only is it dumb, it's demeaning to the Hedgehog himself. I really could care less if haters say this because they have zero appreciation for something that is cool (they only see what they want to see because of modern media). However, when fans say this, it comes off as more demeaning than funny to me. He's said it plenty of times. He's Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog. If you're going to respect him. say his real name. Otherwise, just don't even utter a syllable. I see so many people say Sanic (and draw the meme) and now, along with it, Gotta Go Fast, Come On Step It Up, You're Too Slow (although I love this...), Pingas, and other memes are now the only thing people know for Sonic rather than his shining personality. It's sad. His rep may never be repaired but at least people could about this. I really don't know why or how it could be funny. It just breaks my heart. It hurts even more to know such a great franchise declined so badly. I wish people learned to forgive and forget. Anyway, I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this way.Related content

Sanic is a meme about a video drawing a crude drawing of sonic, I found it weird and good but I don't see the humor of Ugandan Knuckles and the scariness of Tails Doll.

This might just be the stupidest meme on the internet for all the wrong reason. Don't get me wrong, i love dumb memes as much as the next guy, but i never really understood what's supposed to be funny about a badly drawn version of a character with a stupid pronounciation of said character's name to go along with it. Sanic is the most common, but i've seen others pop up as well (like Dankey Kang).
