“You should be afraid of me you know,” He told her, “You should stay away from me. Otherwise you're going to end up getting hurt.”He started to swim away from her and she suddenly darted forward and wrapped her arms around him.
“Please don’t go,” She told him, “If your not afraid of me why should I be afraid of you. You might be cursed but at least you weren’t bred to be a killer.”
He leaned his head back for a second and felt her next to him.
“One day I’m going to be come a monster Eva’. Some people think I already am.”
“I don’t believe you,” She shook her purple head at him, “No matter what you tell me I just cant believe your heart is made of stone and I never will.”
So this is a painting of Evangeline and none other than Lord Noka Yoma. This painting is actually inspired by a pair of songs that I recently heard.
The first one is called “angel of darkness” and speaks of a girl fighting the fate that her angel of darkness will bring. The second song is called “Heart of Stone”. This one is about a girl finding a young man and trying to convince him that in spite of everything he’s not the cold hearted person that he thinks he is.
Orginally this painting was intended to be a lot darker. It was supposed to be a lot sadder and more terrifying. However as it progressed it became more profound and soulful.
Noka has been cursed by his father and will eventually loose his soul and become his father… a true monster.
Evangeline is a siren and is destined to be a killer from the time she came into the world.
Both of them are fighting this fate in this picture and finding a moment of peace in each other.
I hope that every one likes it. This is only my second attempt at drawing a guy so please be kind.

wow! I like how she curls around him, her face begs him to love her and never let her go. He is stiff as a board, cold. BTW, you did just fine with your masculine figure. ^-^

Thank you again.. I wanted to have a lot of emotion here..noka(the boy)is a friends character and began as a extreamly cold and emotionless, if not down right evil person.

Stunning! Instant fave! And for you second time drawing a guy, you did perfectly! He is so masculine and strong! Great job on his physique! Aside for it being such a touching and beautiful scene, the colors are fantastic! His paler, muted tones make her vibrant coloring really stand out!
And the little piece that you wrote to go with it really helps with the understanding of the picture. I must say his expression matches the words beautifully! You can really see the conflict in him and the love in her!

But if your willing to take that chance on me...:She trailed off for a second and sighed: I know why you sent the rainbow girl away you know. YOu think your darkness.. incarnate... and you may be. Rainbows can't exist in darkness. Shadows can tho...

Noka listened to Eva, and he had to admit. She did make sense to him when she explained about the whole shadow thing. She knew about Niji and him, and Niji will always be specail to him. But Eva was different. She was like him. A soul tortured and twisted into the darkness. Weither they like it or not.
"True. Shadows can exist in the darkness and rainbows can not. But you are no shadow Eva. You're like Niji, one of my three lights that keep me...warm."
