Stamp based on a journal rant I did.Nostalgiatards. They SUCK pure and simple. One of the worst things that can ruin fanbases, Whether it'd be video games, movies.... ANYTHING. (trust me, I know it from experience)
BUT:
What can be worse than Nostalgiatards? People (often Newtard fanbrats who can't respect opinions) who misuse the term to the point where they call anyone who likes retro/old school (mainly 90s and 80s and sometimes older periods) things. These type of people as well as the Nostalgiatards themselves run rampant on the net- ESPECIALLY youtube comment sections and SOME comment sections on some posts/deviations/stamps on dA.
Seriously, is it really a crime if someone likes something from his/her time period or before his/her time?
To put it simply, I can't stand the fact the (mis)usage of this word is getting out of hand.
I swear its almost like we can't have good peace on the internet anymore:
-If you politely state that you love a newer version of something over its old version (game or toy) or a current show/movie you like from the 2000s and onwards and are about to explain why, you are flamed/attacked/given death threats by Nostalgiatards
-if you politely state that you love an older version of something (game or toy) over its new version of an 80s/90s show/movie you grew up with like a lot and are about to explain why, you get labelled with a misused 'LOL nostalgiatard!' by Newtard fanbrats.

I have my preferences in old shows and movies more from the 90's and 2000's despite I do like some new shows and movies too from the 2010's.
Unfortunately, newtards harassed me for that thanks to nostalgitards giving sane old schoolers like me a bad name.

Even though I'm an oldies fan, you're right, there's plenty of good stuff on TV like Genndy Tartakovskys Cartoons, Pixar, Turbo F.A.S.T., Frozen, Big Hero 6, The Loud House, Milo Murphy's Law, Coco, Disenchantment, Hilda and more.

It honestly depends on what the fuss is about....
Now, nostalgiatard may be overused but I think its only good to use when it comes to certain fanbrats that constantly complain how everything new sucks because the older things were the best.
I know people who prefer older things but that doesn't make them a nostalgia tard. They just have preferences for certain decades is all.
I love things made from the past and modern and I do point out their flaws.
But to be honest, the whiny people I mentioned are what gives most older fans a bad name.

Everyone likes things they grew up on. I recently was reunited with my favorite band as a child, but I don't call myself something as stupid as that.
I refer to it as "I like thinking of my childhood, therefore sometimes I like to watch old cartoon and listen to the music I listened to in 3rd grade (my rock music phase, still enjoyable. Got out of Hannah Montana quickly). And 80's and 90's? I was born 1997 and I'm 15, there's no way I, or anyone else my age doing this, could have enjoyed the 80s as well as most of the 90s.
And let's stop making cults for everything. "Weee weeaboo" "Yay nostalgiatardjgakldfh" Don't get me started on the 90 babies crap. God -_-; People born before the 90s can remember stuff from the 90s too!

Yeah. Nostalgiatards are a bunch of nuts to this internet world. Even the ones who are calm about generations had enough with nostalgiatards. The only nostalgiatard group that drives me insane is the Cartoon Network ones. Why? Casper's SS belongs to Catoon Neetwork...and it's underrated in the US ("thanks" to the nostalgiatards....)
