One of my friends challenged me to do it. We came up with an entire list of things that needed to be humanized. I'm not even a quarter of the way down the list yet!

Well, technically, Valve said none of it was human, so that's the list before there was a fandom list.
Honestly, though, this was a practice in characterization of an inanimate object given it's function and original design, and deciding what sort of personality it would have. (and GLaDOS said she wanted to ship Wheatley with a Mashey spike plate. I don't question my GLaDOS) Now that you bring it up, though, I think I have two more things to practice, thanks! That's really kind of awesome of you. What else is on the list?

Sooo frankly, that list needs to be thrown out, because the fandom is full of creative, magnificent pricks who don't really give a damn about lists, the people who make them, and their opinions~

YEP. My friends and I are making a list of things to humanize. It's awesome practice. I'm an animator, you see, I have to be able to come up with interesting designs from a set of characteristics and base a personality around it. It's also REALLY fun.

So if the animator thing doesn't work out for you, you might want to try drawing graphic novels. I seriously thought that was a graphic novel cover until I read the description and title. (Maybe I've been checking in too many of the buggers...)
