Description
So recently I've been playing and watching a playthrough of the game Dust: An Elysian Tail, originally released on Steam and Xbox a few years ago. It's now available for iOS and I love this game so much! The art style for one is brilliant and I've done my best to recreate it here. Second, the characters are amazing - Fidget, a nimbat (far left in this picture), is by far my favourite. Cute with an attitude and more often than not hilarious. Can I just say that voice acting in this game is also some of the best I've heard period?Anyway, on the left we have Fidget and Ginger, another character from the game, in a different outfit to her usual blue dress from the game itself. Not to spoil the events of the game for those who haven't played it, but this is my take on what might happen afterward. I like to think that Ginger and Fidget could be travelling companions.
On the right we have a couple of OCs I decided to try designing: Junia (named changed from Ashelin because I've created another OC who I think fits the name better and then changed from Elissa for the same reason) and Smidge (the nimbat). I'll post their full descriptions in a separate picture.

Recently picked this game up along with "The Missing" and Hollow Knight,
and I have to agree I love it so much thus far. (up to the first time to the woods)
and yes, Fidget is like 80% why... XD

I will say, you get a nice game with Hollowknight from seen by ScribeD and little played but is very much a game for ones who are ok with exploration and are not afraid of death in games, rip.
(one may need to basically restart their progress at times but it's fine),
like the memes with Dark Souls.
I'd say buy it for the price.

It certainly sounds like a challenge. I'm not the best at games, but I'm still very interested in checking out Hollow Knight, so I'd certainly be up for trying it out (and liking making a tally of how many times I die in the game XD).

Yes, in this story. I had the idea that maybe Fidget lost track of Ahrah and decided to team up with Ginger to find it again.

That sounds like a good plot line. And I wonder. Do you think Ginger could become Ahrah's new bearer? If she can learn to fight I mean.

It’s an interesting thought, I must say. I do have a story in which Ginger learns how to fight, although not with the Blade of Ahrah, but I’m still working on that one.

I just thought it would be neat since both her and Fidget are probably mourning Dust. Dust was Fidget's closest companion, and he was half of Ginger's brother. It would kind of be like how Allura took over the Blue lion from Lance.

I heard a while back the creator wants to make a sequel. That's why I am kind of reluctant to write my own sequel. To be honest, if he does make a sequel, I hope he goes your approach and makes it about a different character separate from Dust. That's kind of what I want to do in my novel series, having each series focus on a different protagonist separate from the main character of the first series.

Pretty much all of my Dust fics have been a sequel in some way of another, not including the Voltron AU. I am hoping that we get an official sequel to the game somewhere down the line, and I’m looking forward to whatever Dean Dodrill may come up with. It might be something none of us thought of, but whether the story focuses on Dust again or if we have some new characters, I’ll still be very happy to play the game.

Well the creator did mention he wanted to make another game first, it's apparently due out by the end of 2017, so I guess after that he will work on a Dust sequel.

Yep, that's Never Stop Sneakin', the game coming out on the Nintendo Switch. Definitely different to Dust: An Elysian Tail in pretty much every aspect (although the dialogue sounds like it has a similar sense of humour behind it). I remember reading something about how Dean wanted to explore other projects before revisiting Dust, which makes sense: this is only the second game Humble Hearts has released, so it's good to build up a roster of different games.

Same, although I’d need to GET a Switch first, that console looks freaking awesome and I am STILL jealous of everyone who’s been able to play Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
