This is a gift I made for my boyfriend.

He gave me some old acrylics that he wasn't using. He tried to paint when he was younger, but he never really got into it. He might also give me some sketchbooks. He's moving away. He'll still be going to my school, but we won't ride the bus together anymore. We already have so little time to spend as is. He's a senior and he'll be graduating. I'll barely see him for more than a year, because my mom doesn't know we're together and we have to keep it a secret from her.

So, with the canvas, the brushes, and the acrylics he gave me, I made a him a simple gift. I know lots of people paint sunsets. But I think so many people take them for granted. Every morning, I look for a sunrise while riding the bus with him. I tell him, "look, it's so pretty!" He says it is. And I know he thinks to himself that it's the same. But every one of them is different. And every day with him was different. Even with our same old sayings that we made up together. Even with the same "Goodnight, I love you so much," with either five heart emojis or fifteen, no in between.

I'm crying so much. I'm gonna miss him so much.
