It was a pleasure doing this. I spent about 5 hours drafting the layout of the room (this is an area that I wasn't 100% sure of since I had never drawn it in BRS, and it's a very complex room that serves a lot of purposes). Then, I dedicated a week to polishing it and getting it where I wanted it. I could've worked the composition out a little better, but overall I'm very pleased with it!
The basic idea I always had for this room was that it was a set of areas that were connected to form what felt like a dollhouse. I entertained the idea of having large prints of a pair of eyes along one wall to make the experience feel like you were a tiny plaything, though maybe that's for a later scene (this room was complex enough without a pair of eyes distracting you.)
Either way, I'm happy to have another room of Elegant Touch fleshed out! It's so gratifying to give these places full life, and it helps me understand my own world better to have these rooms connected in my head.
Story: Dollification, Encasement, Bondage]
"Oh! Dolls. This seems oddly appropriate for you.
Though why are they life-si...
...
Nooooonononononono... these are cases.
Tell me they're empty, Elizabeth."
::Some rooms in the shop are harder to grasp with a first impression. The Dollhouse is certainly one of those rooms.::
:: Entry is granted at either end of a long set of areas, though it's almost exclusively accessed from the last door in the hallway (the other typically remains locked, since the experience was meant to start with the kitchen). The kitchen area is a cute, retro kitchen complete with tiled floors, working appliances and cabinets, and a dining set. Along the wall is a full length print of the rest of the kitchen, which creates a clash of reality and simulation (and in photographs, these backdrops look very real despite their matte texture). The kitchen area then becomes carpet as it meets the rest of the dollhouse, starting with the section in the middle which has been nicknamed both "The Display Case" and "The Toy Box." This is an area Elizabeth can decorate with prints on the back wall of the closet-like space, made to go with the dolls she's dressed up and posed within it. This will also occasionally serve as a storage closet, though there is a room more closely dedicated to that in the hallway leading to the Waiting Room.
:: Between the first area and the second, there is a space with hard wood floors with a few simple things: A chair, a cupboard, a mirror, and a rope with a clasp hanging from above the chair. This is known as the "Obedience Seat" which can be used in conjunction with the other rooms of the shop to enforce hypnosis, seduction, and if someone wills it, interrogation. Though the area isn't very big, Elizabeth makes effective use of it frequently and will re-purpose certain spots in the area for different activities. If she wants a TV screen to hang where the mirror is, she can apply that easily. If she wants her doll to be standing, she can apply the rope and hook to a harness. If she wants her doll to watch themselves be transformed, she can clasp the rope to their head and have them mercilessly strapped to the chair. The area is very versatile.::
:: The room at the far end with the locked entry to the hall is the living room. Since it's one of the more open areas of the shop, it's re-purposed for many activities like pet play, spanking, photo taking, dollification, etc. The area is carpeted for comfort of the knees, and everything about the area changes depending on Elizabeth's purpose in the moment. It often doubles as a more expendable vintage area for dollification activities (rather than using her nice living area upstairs featured in I Throw My Toys Around:: ) so things like wallpaper, borders, window coverings, etc. will swap and change periodically depending on Elizabeth's mood or need. Along the wall is a padded room with a sliding door, which is used for punishment, asylum fantasies, and sometimes hypnosis if the person consents to that level. Unlike the kitchen area of the dollhouse, this area will always be different.::
:: The Dollhouse is a very busy part of the shop, typically always occupied by dolls which clean, practice their endurance and stillness, try on new outfits, and are sometimes played with and intruded on by littles from the Nursery . It's often the last room of the shop to be shown (another reason for it being at the end of the hallway) and Elizabeth almost always gives a warning for it, despite having previously shown her guests shocking areas like the Waiting Room. There's a level of humanity that is reached into when people experience other humans acting as toys. The illusion and the realization is powerful, and while the dolls often gain joy from seeing reactions to their believability, it can sometimes be a deal breaker to those that considered being part of Elizabeth's shop. Each room is separated, but there's an ecosystem of supported want and need between them. You don't have to be into everything presented, but you have to be okay with it's presence. After all... the rooms reflect Elizabeth's interests as well.::
"Yes Adelle, they're my dolls. They're as real as the ones you played with as a child."
