To make a long story short, Sybok stumbled upon The Skyriver Galaxy (a.k.a. the "Star Wars" dimension). Specifically, his shuttle crash landed on Endor where he'd stayed for a couple of years. During those years, Sybok met and fell in love with the Nightsister, Charal. Together, they'd have a son, Ryu (formerly known as "Selik") who'd later become a padawan of Luke Skywalker. Not only that, Ryu would marry Lando Calrissian's adopted niece, Xenia Aram. Unbeknownst to all involved, Xenia, herself, would have ties to the Milky Way.
