Description I now have 11 Copics (and I'm still trying to get the hang of not smearing the pencil sketch) so I've been doing a lot of traditional illustration! My good friend Evie is going to university and asked me to draw something she can put on her wall there. I've been watching a lot of Ree Artwork on YouTube so this is heavily inspired by her gorgeous work.

SAME The only blending here is a slight yellow highlight on the big cactus I weep
Thank you! I've been trying a bunch of new stuff recently. Not very skilled with the Copics yet but I love using them so hopefully practice will make perfect

ive been trying new materials too! digital art still has it in for me but gouache is lovely, especially for painting detailed backgrounds. copics remain fun but frustrating for me too Β

I should try gouache, I've heard only good things about it

it does make it harder to get the smooth gradients you can do with watercolour or digital (or copics, theoretically) - but its soo good for layering colours and doing more cell-shading type stuff

Okay! I'm not much of a painter but maybe next time I go to the art store I'll check it out!
