Description
There is great victory in conquest for men.All suffer violence, murder, loss, separation,
Those near and dear are afflicted by misfortune.
Men afflicted by misfortune turn to righteousness.
All beings desire security, self control, calm of mind.
I have drawn closer to God;
Because of my grievous suffering in life.
I value new victories in this world and the next.
Men see my inscription on universal conquest,
Conquest always gives feelings of pleasure.
Men set out to conquer my independent country.
I tell men to reform lest they be killed,
Even if I were to regret doing so.
God teaches that there is power even in remorse.
Beloved God will forgive as far as he can,
Pity should be felt for all creatures.
Gods who formerly did not mix with men,
Now do so because of beloved conquest.
In these victories I may easily win heaven.
The greatest victory is in righteousness,
I have been an open follower of this ancient rule.
