HAPPY HALLOWEEN!This is an old illustration I did back in May 2015 for Memorieal charity art book!
I didn't have enough time (and motivation) to draw a halloween art this year but I thought this one fits the season!
Info about the work:
It's a memory of a girl, Rini who lived in the past because she is deceased. She's struggling to reach the flower (Forget Me Not) to comfort the loved ones she left behind and for her to remember that she once lived.

Let me start by just saying, what an amazing, visually stunning piece. It brings joy to my tired eyes.
Firstly, you limited palette was well chosen. You have succeed in combining the three "areas" of the piece through the linking of the brown-yellow tone and hue found throughout.
The skeleton looks anatomically correct (but do not trust me on this, I am no Med student), however the positioning of the longest skeleton foot looks a little awkward in regards to the position she is in. As she is reaching out towards the book, naturally (this is just my observation from everyday life) people's limbs tend to stretch out. Therefore, the leg may need to be a little more extended and the foot that is just below the surface should have a more acute angle towards the shin.
The wave that is created by the hair creates a nice path for the eyes to follow towards the feet. It is also beautifully shaded, so I commend you on a job well done.
(I don't know if this is just your style, but the ears seem to be a little bit lower than normal.)
The little blue flower within the book creates a lovely focus point which give the piece a certain meaning and evokes certain emotions. For me- longing, ambition and hard work with a hit of anguish.
The bubbles are stunning, I must say. They way there are spread throughout the work gives it a sense of cohesion. Great Job Mate!

Amazing , Rini's hair is very well colored and i love lighting effects on it , the bones show how's she's gonna die and i like it very well done , although i dont get it why she's smiling trying to reach the flower , it'd be much more better if she was shocked/sad and crying as she tries to reach the flower , but its still amazing so dont worry ^^ but i love how the pages of the notebook are flying away and the bubbles are very well done , I like wrinkles in her dress , and as usual her eyes are pretty , and the amulet or pendant she's wearing IS VERY well detailed you did it again Roslee ^V^

The composition of this piece flows adequately with the transition from the dark masses to the lighter areas of the work. Especially with the fluid coloring and line work in the objects, expressing lots of movement such as the loose pages, her hair flowing in space, and particles plunging in the direction she's heading.
The pallet in this piece is vibrant. The luminous sections helps for attention-grabbing + compliments the vivid colors well. I really like the theme of this piece, as it got me to stay on this work.
The content's line work, colors, and details allowed me to absorb the idea and study the objects placed in critical areas. In example, the darker masses, where one's eyes would look to first. In this area, her skeleton and crows are placed. Very beneficial towards the theme. Another is the blue flower in contrast to the warmer and brighter palettes.
These objects build the central idea of the work and definitely fits the season. On the other hand, they gave me a sort of emotional feel as I read the description.
Her facial expression shows a struggling, worried look to grasp the flower. According to the description, it was to remember that she was once a "living, breathing person" and not to start forming tears or anything, but also to comfort the loved ones she has left behind. So it got me compensating, "What if she can't reach the flower? What would happen then? Would she still be sane?" etc. etc.
Without doubt, a very dynamic composition. Description and title influenced me as to think of this as a sad/depressing piece. In my opinion, the addition of other warm colors by hinting them on the girl should allow it to tie it all together so that the palette expands and doesn't just stay on one color that has many shades, instead has a variety of blends. Nonetheless, that could just be the art style but a FANTASTIC piece to fit the season (but now with brighter colors)! Thank you for sharing this beautiful yet dramatic creation.

Amazing work, Roslee! This may be my favorite of your most recent works. The pose and composition is wonderful and enhances the whimsical mood. The fantastical mood and detail in the foreground make a background unnecessary. I especially love your color choice. Her white clothes manage to remain bright yet notably separate from the white bg and aren't washed out.
The concept in this is very unique and meaningful from your other pieces. I actually didn't notice the forget-me-not at first, but I'm gonna blame that more on me not looking hard enough because it certainly stands out from everything else. I ADORE how she is a skeleton on the "dark side," it's so interesting and that was the first thing I noticed when I looked at this.
To make this piece more even more successful, I would say to exaggerate the pose and expression so that it looks more like she's reaching and struggling to reach the flower. While I do think the symbolism tells a lot in this, I think Rini could add even more emotion.

Ahhhhh I've been looking forward to seeing this piece after seeing the preview and it did not disappoint~ /u\
This piece is truly stunning! ; v ; I really like the concept of this piece and the colors used really fit the whole idea! c: The small details are outstanding (especially the bubbles xD)~ The contrast also suits your style well. The blue flower and slight blue hue around it also seems like a great idea since the majority of the palette is yellow-orange-brown-ish.
The dynamic of the hair, the flow of the clothes, and the pose really helps this stand out! I really don't have anything to say to help you improve, though the leg seems a bit awkwardly bent.
I do have an idea about what the book is there for and it fits well the this piece, but I'm not entirely sure is sort of being pulled in to the darker area with the girl or if she's the one reaching for the book. Unless you're trying to get the viewer thinking and come up with their own interpretation, maybe try making it a bit clearer?

It's a fantastic, piece, but if you want critique, then one thing I'd ask for improvement on would be your ambient shading where your clothes and skin overlap. When objects get closer, less light falls between them, making them darker. You managed to get some of that shading, but it seems to uniform rather than gradually darker the farther "down the tunnel" you get. Maybe that's the effect you want?
Overall, though, awesome job!
