I didn't get a chance to comment yesterday, and I can understand what you mean. The design and style itself isn't bad, but I think the weakness shows the most in the face. It's just an impulse but maybe it's a mix of the eye color with the eyes being that large mixed with the style of the latex shine and the undefined lines on the mouth.
Everything makes sense, there's no mistakes or anything, but it does have a kind of 'undefined' feeling. I think it's the mouth that really does it overall. It does give a different feeling than I think you were aiming for.
