...and they replaces humans too.
i always knew when humans went extinct the squids would rise out of the water and take over the world, but i didn't expect them to evolve into such cuties, i'd imagine it to be giant tentacled monstrosities roaming future earth. but this is much better. inklings even have a similar race, the octolings. they evolved from octopus but share many similar traits to inklings, but also have major differences too.

yeah and something just kinda came to my mind.
you know how octotroopers anatomy just looks kinda off being just a tentacle with 2 short stubby legs i have a theory, since that an octopus can separate it's tentacle and it will remain alive and move about for a while when it's operated form the main body, so i think that the octotoopers may be spawns of DJ Octavio's tentacles and/or octoling's hair tentacles.
