The color choice was based on who the little guy is for.

Yes I put those pipe cleaner things in the arms. Chanel sticks or whatever they call them. They'll always be pipe cleaners to me.

I did but I changed a few very VERY minor details in it (length of tentacles, sewing them right side out instead of turning them inside out, lengthening the head a bit)
The pattern is out of a book titled Amigurumi Knits that I don't currently have on hand or I'd throw you the author's name. Should be easy enough to find though, my friend got it for me this summer.
