Frans you were born to be an illustrator with the painstaking pen technique. The line work on the skull really reminds me of the old metal etched works. Have you ever considered making plates before? (not the kitchenware kind, the carved kind for prints)

Funny you should mention that. I've actually got Gustave Dore's book of Paradise Lost illustrations sitting right next to me! I wish I had the skill to do that kind of work because I admire it so much. But the way you have to think/work doing etching is far beyond me. And I probably would become even slower at producing any artwork as well.
