Foreman Grimes had spent the morning anticipating the arrival the "auxiliary workforce" His enterprising boss had secured from the notorious nearby women's prison. For a bargain price the company would be sent a bus load of female convicts to be put to work all day and evening in any way it saw fit. At about nine O'clock the delipidated bus spluttered into the yard and the handcuffed passengers disembarked. They were a mixed bunch of women of various ages. Some looked a bit old for the days hard labour that was in store for them but there were also some younger if not so enthusiastic looking women in the line up.
