When I was playing the new God of War back in the last year (I love the game, it's the best thing of that series, end of bloody story) and I witnessed this scene, this line... Not I only felt deeply for Kratos, but also it reminded me of Niem a lot.

Jeremiah, Niem's grandson, has been living with Niem for some time when they hear devastating news; the place Rhea, Jeremiah's mother and Niem's daughter, has been living has been decimated. They do not know what has happened to her or to Jeremiah's siblings. While Niem wants to act, he is bound by the war time and the Triumvirate they are part of - Jeremiah, however, just wants his mom back.

And he cannot understand why Gramps is not mourning like he is.
