Milo came from a fairly well-off, upper-middle class family, and had quite a spoiled childhood as a result. Unfortunately for him, his parents wanted him to be more independent when he reached his 20s, and made him look for a job and eventually leave home entirely, something that poor Milo wasn't prepared for in the slightest.
Milo jumped from job to job over the next few years, never really finding anything he was especially good at or enjoyed. Eventually, he resorted to work as a sort of "maid/house-servant for hire", cleaning, cooking, and tending to a household in exchange for payment and even shelter in some cases.
Eventually, he began working for an orcish farmer by the name of Arian, and the pair quickly became friends, though have also slowly began to develop feelings for eachother...
